Over 1,000 Exhibition Booths Fully Occupied at this Largest-ever CXMEE

　　The 6th CXMEE opened today, attracting over 10,000 domestic and international professional business people, half of which are from overseas.
　　
Today, the intriguing Xiamen Island, with a pleasant festive atmosphere, rolled out the red carpet for friends from all over the world. At 9 o’clock this morning, the 6th CXMEE opened at Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center．　　　　　　　　　　　　　
　　
The CXMEE has emerged more mature from its experiences with the previous five sessions, and now enjoys increasing brand name recognition in the business community, especially across the Taiwan Strait. The 1,270 planned international standard exhibition booths are fully occupied, making this CXMEE the largest ever, attracting exhibiting enterprises from 26 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities from Mainland China as well as from Taiwan. A total of 223 Taiwan-based enterprises are represented here, bringing the total number of Taiwan-invested enterprises at the Exhibition to nearly 400 if the number of mainland-based Taiwanese enterprises is added.
　　

Since its 4th session, the CXMEE has shifted from comprehensive exhibition to machinery and electronics exhibition, and has been oriented to specialization. This session of the CXMEE has showed a stronger feature of specialization. It is reported that products exhibited at this session are mainly machinery, electric motors, hardware, computer and information products, and electronic components, and that attending business people are mainly professional buyers.
　　

of the afternoon of yesterday, more than 1,000 overseas individual business personnel had registered with the Organizing Committee of the CXMEE; these participants represented 47 countries and regions, including Taiwan, Hong Kong, the UK, the US, Canada, Japan, Morocco, the United Arab Emirate, Turkey, etc. Compared with the preceding session, this session attracted a significantly higher number of overseas business representatives. It is estimated that over 5,000 overseas business people will be attracted to this CXMEE, bring the total number of domestic and overseas business professionals to nearly 10,000.
　　

This CXMEE is scheduled to last four days and will be closed on the afternoon of April 15. In addition of products exhibition and business negotiations, a forum on cross-strait cooperation in the machinery and electronics sectors, a symposium on the market of the the machinery and electronics sectors, and a seminar on the IT sector will also be opened.
