E-commerce Opens up New Opportunities for Cross-Straits Cooperation

Since the outbreak of the global financial crisis, most traditional enterprises have experienced difficulties, but e-commerce businesses have turned in an impressive performance and become major players in the cooperation and exchange across the Taiwan Straits. PChome Online founder Zhan Hongzhi stated that e-commerce has opened up significant opportunities for the cooperation of Internet enterprises on both sides of the Taiwan Straits and enjoys infinite potential with the opening of direct trade links across the Taiwan Straits.

 

The 2010 Global Search Engine Marketing Convention was held on April 9 and 10 in Xiamen during the 14th CXMEE. CEOs from more than 100 renowned Internet enterprises and conventional enterprises, as well as experts on venture capital and search engine marketing, explored "B2C marketing solutions."

 

The 3rd China (Xiamen) Cross-Straits E-commerce Development Forum, themed around rapid development of e-commerce industrial clusters, was held on April 10. The forum attracted a delegation comprising more than 30 Taiwan e-commerce elites, compared with merely four enterprises last year. The delegation was headed by Xie Changjun, president Taiwan’s Chunghwa E-commerce Association.
