
The 14 CXMEE (China Xiamen Machinery and Electronics Exhibition) opened yesterday at the Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Centre.
Many celebrities and leaders presented and cut the ribbon for the opening ceremony for the 14th CXMEE, including the deputy director of Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council Zheng Lizhong, the Standing Committee of the Fujian provincial CPC committee & secretary of Xiamen Municipal Committee Yu Weiguo, vice minister of State Science and Technology Dept. Cao Jianlin, the deputy director of General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of The People’s Republic of China Wei Chuanzhong, and the director of 14th CXMEE Organizing Committee & mayor of Xiamen Municipal Government Liu Cigui.
Zheng Lizhong, Liu Cigui, Jiao Youjun and Ma Jian also spoke at the opening ceremony.
According to the organizing committee, the scale of this year's CXMEE is larger than the previous versions, over 30 thousand participants have come and participated in the 14th CXMEE. There are more than 800 exhibitors, and the number of the booths is up to 2547.
During the 14th CXMEE, there will be 22 other activities including the 2010 Cross-Strait Trade Forum and 2010 Cross-Strait Optoelectronic Industry Forum and Symposium. The 14th CXMEE will last until 11th April 2010.
