Representatives from 25 Taiwan enterprises and more than 130 mainland enterprises attended the CXMEE's fourth Cross-Straits Investment and Trade Matchmaking Symposium yesterday afternoon for one-on-one business negotiations.
The year's symposium is has a larger scale, more substantial results, and greater cooperation intents than previous ones. Most of the enterprises represented are SMEs in the machinery, photonics, and food processing industries. On the mainland side, in addition to the 130-plus enterprises, Harbin, Henan and Sichuan have also sent delegations to the symposium.
Preliminary statistics show that two machinery and electronic trade deals were signed yesterday, and that 36 enterprises have expressed cooperation intents. Five more deals are expected within a year, bringing the total value to US$ 5.45 million. Taiwan’s Jiada Technology Co., Ltd. has decided to establish a presence at Xiamen Software Park.
