Recently, a four-member delegation from the CXMEE Organizing Committee, headed by Yang Shaojing, Deputy Secrectary General of the CXMEE Organizing Committee and Vice Director of the Xiamen Promotion Center for the Trade to Taiwan, attended the ninth World SME Expo in Hong Kong to promote the fourteenth CXMEE in 2010.

At the expo, the CXMEE delegation set up exhibitions, hosted seminars, and distributed brochures on the fourteen CXMEE and extended invitations to the expo’s exhibitors and visitors. Many visitors expressed interest in the themes and functions of the CIFIT and indicated that they might consider taking part in next year’s CXMEE.

The World SME Expo is organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. It is staged at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center in December every year. Exhibitors include foreign diplomatic missions, representative offices, chambers of commerce, trade associations, intermediary agencies, and financial service providers, as well as small and medium-sized enterprises in trade, information technology, energy efficiency, high-tech environmental protection, and innovation. This year’s World SME Expo focused on Chinese trade, business opportunities in emerging markets, and the enhancement of SME operating efficiency. The Expo included an innovative technology and design expo.
