CXMEE Attracts Intense Domestic & International Attention with Six Major Features

  At the plenary session of the organizing committee of the 9th China Xiamen Machinery & Electronics Exhibition held yesterday, Zhang Changping, major of Xiamen reveals that this CXMEE consists of 1486 booths, with the largest-ever scale and six major features attracting intense domestic and international attention.

Highlighted Taiwan-oriented Features

With the efforts of the Taiwan Eletrical & Electronic Manufacturers’ Association, the Taiwanese trade delegation has sailed directly to Xiamen. This CXMEE has attracted a larger than ever number of Taiwanese enterprises; as many as 106 Taiwan-based enterprises are represented at the CXMEE, occupying 210 booths. During the CXMEE, professional organizations across Taiwan Strait will join hands in organizing multiple forums and seminars. Moreover, the Cross-Strait Solid-State Lighting Industry Exchange & Cooperation Team and the Cross-Strait Optical Communication Industry Exchange & Cooperation Team, advocated by businesspeople from both sides of Taiwan Strait, will be officially established during the CXMEE.

Rising Content of Science & Technology

This year, the Ministry of Science & Technology is directly involved in the organizing work of the CXMEE as a directing organization. The National Solid-state Lighting Program Coordinating & Leading Group and Xiamen municipal government join hands in hosting the 2005 China (Xiamen) International Solid-state Lighting Exhibition, which will showcase the latest achievements in science and technologies, technologies and products. Shanghai, Dalian, Nanchang and Xiamen, the top four optical lighting industry bases, and Taiwan Optical Communication Industry Alliance have organized leading local enterprises to join the exhibition, which has not only further increased the content of science and technology of exhibited products, but also promoted the cooperation and exchange of the optical industries, particularly the optical lighting industries, across Taiwan Strait.

CXMEE Attracts 60% Repeat Clients
tracking the new developments of industries, is attracting an rise number of machinery and electronics enterprises. Attendence statistics show that as many as 60% exhibited enterprises have been represented at the CXMEE previously, indicating that the benefits of the CXMEE have been recognized by most exhibitors. At the same time, machinery products have become the primary commodties displayed at the CXMEE. This year, machinery remain the single biggest commodity, with prospective exhibitors scrambling to obtain a booth. As a result, the number of booths for machinery has been increased from the originally planned 600 to the current 750.

Exhibition Area for Automobiles and Components Provided for the First Time

In an effort to promote the exchange and cooperaton of automoblie and component makers from both sides of Taiwan Strait, this CXMEE concurrently holds the 2005 China (Xiamen) International Automotive Components and Related Equipment Fair to showcase auto bodies, auto chasis systems, auto engines, auto air-conditioning systems, auto servicing equipment, auto beauty and care products and interiors, attracting intense interest and response from auto and component makes from both sides of Taiwan Strait.

Machinery & Electronics Procurement Seminar Organized for the First Time

In order to improve the benefits of exhibition, the organizing committee organizes the first-ever procurement match-up seminar for electronic information, optical communications, auto electronic parts and components, machinery and equipment, providing exhibitors with an opportunity to meet international buyers face to face. The procurement match-up seminar also invites procurers and electronic manufacturers from Europe and the US to attend the seminar, including B & Q, Black & Decker, Mas Elektronik, Jardin Trade, and ther leading international procurers and importers, who conduct onsite talks with exhibitors.

Increased Authoritativeness for Forums and Seminars
During this CXMEE, a series of forums and seminars, including the “2005 China (Xiamen) International Solid-state Lighting Forum”, “Cross-Strait Cooperation Forum for Machinery & Electronics Industries” and “Cross-Strati Roundtable Conference for Optical Communication Operating and Manufacturing Industries”, “National Solid-state Lighting Industrialization Base Seminar”, and “Machinery and Electronic Products Procurement Match-up Seminar”, are held. They focus on exhibtion themes,with authoritative experts and leading scholars from the business and academic communities from both sides of Taiwan Strait, and therefore featuring a high level of relevance and authoritativeness.
